B. S. University of Cincinnati (Environmental Study)
Hello! My name is Nicole and I am available to tutor in most math and science subjects and in Spanish. Since a young age, I have excelled in math and science. In middle school, I also discovered my love for languages. I continued to pursue these subjects throughout my education and now enjoy working with them. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, with an undergraduate minor in Spanish, from the University of Cincinnati. I plan to return to school and begin working on my Master of Science degree in 2017.
My academic honors and achievements include making the Dean's List multiple times during my undergrad, receiving an International Grant, and receiving an Honorable Mention for the Best Undergraduate Presentation for my scientific abstract at the 2014 North American Paleontological Convention.
My work experience in these subjects includes tutoring middle and high school students in math, working with students of all ages in agricultural education, and holding a position in Costa Rica where I taught environmental education in Spanish to elementary students.
My tutoring focus is to help students better understand the subjects they struggle with, leading to improved grades and greater confidence. I understand that not all students learn the same way. I also have great experience working with different cultures and languages.
I look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact me to learn more! Hello! My name is Nicole and I am available to tutor in most math and science subjects and in Spanish. Nicole is a great tutor. She always stays until my daughter "gets it". She has a great rapport with my daughter, is very respectful. We are glad we contacted Nicole.
Great rapport with my daughter. Professional, knowledgable, punctual. We have just started working with Nicole but I am very pleased so far.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
