Hi I am a first year Veterinary Student at Iowa State University. I graduated in the spring of 2014 with a Bachelors in Animal Science. to prepare for vet school I had to take several rigorous undergraduate courses including a year of calculus, physics, organic chemistry/chemistry and many more difficult courses.
Though I am a vet student I am quite proficient in math and science and love helping others learn and understand concepts in both of these subjects. I tutored 2 students in my undergraduate studies in basic English and math and really enjoyed it. It is awesome watching students grow in subjects that they struggle with and seeing them achieve their goals. I want to mention that I wasn't always proficient in math and science, until about high school. I struggled in math a lot as a child but it became a subject that I worked hard to understand and worked hard to become good at. I want to see that happen for you. I want to help you figure out how to become good at something that is hard for you.
I took a full year of Calculus in Undergrad and received all A's and used that to boost my undergraduate GPA. In high school I was apart of the math honors society for 2 years and received good grades in all my math courses.
As a veterinary student I am currently taking anatomy for animals but my understanding of how to study the body and my understanding of the body in general makes me qualified to teach about anatomy.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
