I’m Sally, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and French as well as a French translation certificate. I have a Masters degree in Sociology and I’m currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Sociology. Whilst pursuing my doctorate, I have gotten the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience and have acquired skills that have helped me teach courses in Sociology to university level students.

Over the last seven years, I’ve gained teaching experience through various roles of teaching. I have taught college level students with a class range from 30 to 40 and high schoolers on a one-on-one basis.

Throughout my teaching experience, I’ve been dedicated to seeing my students succeed. I do this by maintaining regular office hours to provide support to students who are falling behind and need more clarification and understanding. I also reach out to students who misunderstand the assignment and explain it properly to them and extend opportunities to students to re-do assignments to ensure they understand and have acquired knowledge. I believe it is better for a student to understand the assignment and do it well than to turn in anything quickly just to meet a strict deadline.

I want the students I tutor to succeed to the extent that they are able to understand and also teach others in return. I’m patient, easy to reach and to approach. I’m  dedicated in helping as many students as possible. I want my students to feel comfortable to express their struggles and issues as I use multiple resources to help them navigate through.
