Learning is a privilege, but so is teaching. It is never a waste. So one teaches as they learn, and they learn as they teach.
I have been tutoring about 6 years now. I focus on math, reading and writing and I like to help them to develop a good study habit. My students range from elementary to 60 year old seniors. My general focus is on ESL students.
My interests are art, music, history and languages.
I speak three languages-- English, Korean and Japanese. I've taught elementary students at a Korean school, helping them to read, write, speak and comprehend the Korean language as well as learn about the culture.
Right now, I am a translator at University of Nations, Kona, Hawaii. I translate from English to Korean (and Korean to English) in corporate meetings, gatherings, and classroom lectures. I also translate important documents and books. Learning is a privilege, but so is teaching. It is never a waste. So one teaches as they learn, and they learn as they teach.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I grew up with art ever since I was little (my mom is an art teacher) and I started formally getting lessons since I was in junior high.
I know the basics of drawing- shading, proportions, lines, etc.
I taught art as a teacher's assistant at a Korean school for about two years, giving instructions and guidance to help the students draw realistically. I am flexible in the styles that I teach, even cartoon.
Korean is my first language. I can speak, write, read and understand the language. I have been teaching at a Korean school as a teacher's assistant for about two years. I can teach the basics of the language, and also take it to an advance level.
I paint both with watercolor and acrylic.
I can help the students to paint better by first teaching them the basics, from color theory to brush strokes. I focus mainly on realism and impressionism but I'm also flexible in the styles I teach.
