Princeton student looking to tutor during my gap year

I am a high school graduate who graduated as salutatorian of my class. I am going to Princeton University after taking a gap year for the 2020-2021 school year. I was part of the National Honor Society at my school for 2 years, during which I tutored multiple students in their individual math classes. During school hours, I would also help students with their violin concertos or difficult orchestral excerpts. As a senior on my running teams, I would always help the younger runners with choosing an appropriate running distance and running safely and more enjoyably. I love tutoring and helping other kids because it brings me great satisfaction to teach other people about subjects and hobbies that are interesting and important to me. I hope that I can help aspiring students, musicians, and athletes to reach their goals, whether it be running times, better grades, or an improved SAT score.

Math has always been my strongest subject at school. I took AP Calculus AB as a junior in high school and AP Statistics as a senior and received a 5 on both tests. On the SAT math section I received a 780 (out of 800). I love teaching math because it is very rewarding to help students understand every specific math skill. I can tutor any math subject up to Statistics, and am currently reviewing the Calc AB curriculum to be able to effectively tutor new students.

I have been studying violin for 7 years with a private teacher and have participated in many orchestra festivals and competitions. I was also an orchestra major at my high school. I am currently playing advanced violin concertos and will be studying music performance as a minor degree at Princeton. I hope that by teaching younger students, I can help improve their skill and inspire a passion for this amazing instrument.
