Georgia Highlands College (Middle Grades Ed)
Kennesaw State University (Graduate Coursework)
Hi there! I'm Tyler and I am probably the biggest Social Studies nerd you will find around. I am new to the tutoring world, and have just finished my Associates Degree in Middle Grades Education. I am continuing to achieve my Bachelor's Degree at Kennesaw State University in History Education. I have always loved helping others understand new material, seeing people improve, and being able to make my own humble contributions where I can. My dream is to be a full time teacher, so that I can expand my love for helping others to as many students as I can. What I love about tutoring, however, is the one-on-one experience and how these interactions help a student to better themselves in any field they so desire. I am a firm believer in the only thing that stops a person from learning something is their own mind, and the only thing that prevents mastery is the desire to continue learning. To be a tutor is to help a person rekindle that desire to learn, and to guide and help them along the way. I am a trained educator in the process of attaining my certifications to teach in both the public and private school sectors, and am continuing to hone my abilities further by specializing in History and Social Studies Education. As such, there are expectations that I hold myself to in terms of ethics.
Should you choose me as a tutor, you can expect a respectful, ethical, and friendly tutor who deeply enjoys his passion for history and passing it on to others. I will not give up on anyone who I tutor, and I will do my very best to make success seem less like a dream and more of a reality. Thanks and I hope to see you soon! :)
What makes me an ideal history tutor is that I am currently receiving a modern, advanced education in my field. Any student who finds themselves under my tutelage will be receiving nothing less than quality mentorship.
So that's all about me, I hope to see you all soon! Contact me to learn more about me, and to schedule sessions! "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
