I would like to share my 16 year experience as a native/bilingual speaking teacher with you. My experience includes four years of Pre-K and elementary school, two years in ESOL, two years in middle school, two years at college, and eight years in high school. Four of those high schools years I have been teaching AP Spanish with a 100% passing rate; I have facilitated workshops with the Fulton County Teachers, GADOE, and this summer I will conduct a session at the 93rd annual AATSP conference. Recently, I was invited to be an AP reader which will give me more opportunities to create a robust AP Spanish Language program if needed. Or to tutor you according to your needs.
I find myself to be a facilitator and a leader who advocates for differentiated instruction. I believe that education needs to be combined with technology nowadays and valuable assessments are the key to success for our students; as a teacher, I hope to grow professionally every day. I expect to share my knowledge with my students for them to appreciate their strengths and abilities. I am able to provide a stimulating environment that will support your goals, while providing a professional job. I am sure I can contribute my particular aptitudes to create and develop material, if this is necessary. I am passionate in working with students, teachers and administrators, and being a positive influence in their lives.
I secure proficiency and every accent like a native speaker. Not only that, but you will have the opportunity to understand any Spanish dialect. I have shared my experience with central Americans, south Americans and Spanish speakers. So do not hesitate to contact me, it is worth it as many letters from my students said. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been working with non native speakers and I have successfully immerse them in the English language, starting from Pre-K, though college. I have techniques I have created in order to develop the acquisition of the language. I am a certified ESOL teacher by the Georgia Performance Standards.
