I have 22 years of teaching experience in the public school system. I have attained my Specialist degree (EdS) which is the degree prior to a Doctoral degree. I have taught kindergaten through 5th grade. I served as a EIP Math teacher/coach outside of the classroom for the past two years. I love working with children and families. Watching children grow in their educational endeavors as well as giving them the support and encouragement needed is such a rewarding feeling. I provide the encouragement as well as all the needed resources to ensure the child or children reach his or her goals. Making the connection as well as building the relationship so the child trusts me is my top priority. Once I have gained the trust and built a relationship which is positive and trusting I am able to help each child reach heights unimaginable.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
