Hello, I am excited to get started working with you in seemingly tough subject areas such as chemistry, organic chemistry, and SAT topics. I have 8 years of experience tutoring General Chemistry, Organic I and II to college and high school students. My primary focus is helping students to gain a deeper understanding of chemistry that is necessary in becoming effective problem-solvers. I have tutored classmates and conducted synthesis research in unsaturated carboxylic acids at Georgia College where I obtained my B.S. in chemistry. Following a 1-year engagement in the specialty chemicals industry, I returned to college at Clemson University where I taught general and organic chemistry lab courses for 8 semesters. My education experience led me to focus on learning content where I contributed to the development of a new lab curriculum including green synthesis of crystal violet and solvent-free (and also pain-free according to students) Wittig reaction. In December of 2019, I completed my M.S. in chemistry at Clemson with extensive knowledge of organic chemistry and currently help many Organic I/II students with complex projects where tutors may be scarce.

If you would like to have a clarifying experience learning general/organic chemistry feel free to message me with your specific tutoring needs whether it is practice problems or learning a topic from a chapter. I promise to do my best to prepare a synchronized session that improves your understanding and academic performance in your chemistry course.

I'm currently available by appointment 7 days per week from 10 AM ET to 4 PM ET, and available again after 8 PM ET.

SAT Reading

SAT Reading

Reading comprehension is an important skill for every student regardless of their field of study or interests. As a chemist for example, I spend months on certain occasions writing abstracts and research reports which requires me to read perplexing articles from professional chemists. Since then, I have been accepted to conferences, scored well on reading tests and continuously apply this useful skill in my research.

Chemistry

Earning a B.S. degree in chemistry has exposed me to a wide-range of chemistry courses. I especially have experience with ideal gas law, atomic structure such as orbitals, equilibrium reactions, bonding, acids & bases, and electrochemistry. My focus is making sure students understand the concepts well enough to be confident and self-proficient after tutor sessions.

Organic Chemistry

I am a recent graduate with a B.S. in chemistry. My research specialty is organic chemistry and synthetic methods. I scored a B in organic 1, an A in organic 2 and scored top 5 in the class on the ACS final exam. I have previously tutored students in chemistry in preparation for the MCAT, organic chemistry courses, and most recently biochemistry.

Patient and helpful!!

I really need help with organic chemistry and Bryan really helped clear up concepts for me. He broke the material down step by step in a way that is much easier to understand than just by figuring out what the textbook says. I wish I would have sought him out sooner this semester!
