Hello Students! Thank you for visiting my profile. I have worked as a Substitute Teacher in middle and high school, and I have worked as an Instructor at a Technical College. So, I have taught students that range in age from 13-50. My college major was History. When I taught at the college, I taught Critical Thinking, American Government, Math, Customer Service, Professional Development, English and Communication and Environmental Science. I love to teach and believe that with patience, any student can learn anything. I realize that all students do not learn the same way or at the same pace. Therefore, learning styles are taken into consideration as I get to know the student and as I employ my teaching strategies. I also believe learning can be fun. I often incorporate diverse activities, personal experience/examples, etc. into my teaching methods.
I believe that education is crucial to a student's academic success and I look forward to being of assistance to you and your family to help you become more proficient and knowledgeable in the subject areas that you are temporarily challenged in.
Also, I am a licensed Baptist minister, self published author, and Christian internet radio host.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken classes at the Earl Paulk Institute of Theology. The school closed before I could complete my degree requirements, however, I have studied on my own for twenty years. Additionally, I host a Christian internet radio broadcast where I teach God's word.
I was an Instructor at a Technical College for four years. I taught adults in the Associates degree program. One of the six classes that I taught was Career and Professional Development. Basically, the curriculum encompassed me teaching students how to dress professionally for interviews and work, how to create resumes, how to effectively interview for a job, how to type business correspondence like memos and letters, and how to use office equipment and computers.
I have been a teacher at a Technical college, and I am skilled in public speaking. I have helped numerous students develop and enhance their confidence in public speaking. Additionally, I host an internet radio broadcast and I believe that I am able to assist others in this area.
I took classes on Religious Studies in college and I study the bible daily. Additionally, I attended a school of Theology for one year.
As an Instructor as a Technical college in the past, I taught a class on Professional Development. Portions of the text dealt with teaching students how to create good study habits and how to retain and memorize information as they studied. I feel that I could reteach good study skills and habits.
