I will be graduating on May 7th from Georgia College and State University with an undergraduate degree in biology, and a 3.55 GPA. Throughout college I have always considered education as a top priority. I have made Dean's list and President's list for academic achievement. I was honored with the award of outstanding academic achievement from the department of biology indicating that I will be graduating near the top of my class in this department. I am a member of the Beta Beta Beta biology honor society which emphasizes the importance of academia and community involvement. I was also the Vice president of the pre-dental club, and tutored younger undergrads in many of the rigorous biology courses along with helping them prepare for the DAT ( Dental Admissions Test).

I was an active member of Smiley Kids club, which visited several elementary schools to teach the importance of dental hygiene. I have been involved with several mission trips where I mentored and worked with children in Mexico. Throughout college I have always prioritized tutoring and assisting other students in my courses. My professors took notice to my commitment and offered me several supplemental instructor positions to tutor undergrads.

Tutoring and mentoring have always been very large aspects throughout my undergraduate degree, and I enjoy helping others achieve their academic goals.
Although my degree focused primarily on biology, chemistry, and many other interdisciplinary science courses I have always excelled in other areas of academia. I am proficient in many math courses up to Calculus 1, and I am also knowledgeable with the grammatical aspects of of English. My experience in tutoring other undergraduates, my academic credentials, and passion for education are all aspects that make me an excellent tutor.

During high school I took math 1, math 2, precalculus, and calculus. In college, I have also taken precalculus, calculus, and statistics. I have always excelled in my math courses, and I am very knowledgeable in a variety of math courses.

Along with taking basic principles of biology 1 and biology 2 here is a list of science courses that I have taken in college and performed well in: Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, organic chemistry 1, organic chemistry 2, organismal physiology, biogeography, genetics, ecology, evolution, biochemistry, cellular & molecular physiology, physics 1& 2, comparative vertebrate anatomy, population genetics, and molecular biology.

I am a very personable and patient person who very much enjoys helping others learn. My goal as a tutor is not only to help others understand material and information, but to also show the positive impact that a good education can have later in life.
