University of Georgia
My name is Ryan M. I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Art Education and Art History. My passion for the freedom to express, explore and innovate in the practice of art making is deep, but more importantly, the passion to share this gift with other growing and aspiring artists is deeper. I have been creating art since I was old enough to hold a crayon, and the love for creating has been a part of my life ever since. Nothing brings me more joy than to help and see a young, growing artist develop confidence and skills in what I consider to be one of the most important areas of education. It has been studied and shown many times that the practice of self expression and exploration through the arts contributes deeply to the growth and succcess of students in all subjects of study.
I am a patient, understanding individual, aware of the challenges and frustrations that may come through the process of learning. I consider it a gift to be able to use my knowledge and expertise to help others learn, progress and improve.
I guarantee to use my skills to the best to help your student to the absolute best of my ability, and will not give up on the responsibility of guiding and mentoring him or her, regardless of any challenges that we may encounter. Thank you for time and consideration of my services. I hope and look forward to meeting you, and helping your child bloom and flourish into a great artist of their own! Hello!

Acknowledging the current tutor rates of $35-65/hr, and considering my skills in the arts, I feel my rate is fair. Rates negotiable (materials and travel covered by this rate as well).
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Understanding the history of art is one of the most important aspects of successful understanding of the study of art and growth as an artist. Having a strong knowledge of art and artists, past and present, encourages amd allows students to develop as artists and create beautiful, unique works of art informed by the techniques and successes (as well as failures) of artists past and present.
