I dual enrolled at Shorter University at 14 after being recruited by the band director to play for them. I managed third seat in a college ensemble and I loved it. I dual enrolled at Shorter University at 14 after being recruited by the band director to play for them. I managed third seat in a college ensemble and I loved it. After I was at a point where I was ready to fully enroll, I got recruited to Berry College and chose to Major in trumpet performance. I have played in a wide variety of different ensembles; to name a few: British Brass, Orchestra, Wind Band, Big Band, Jazz Combo, and Horn Band. In my short playing career, I have honed my practicing techniques and my embouchure to be efficient and effective, and I can help others do the same.
I taught a sectionals for two ensembles, honor band, at Shorter University, and a children's ensemble at the same institution. I am very patient and love helping and witnessing students learn. In addition, to being able to teach the playing aspect, I can also provide repair and maintenance guidance as I work in a brass repair shop. I techniques I will attempt to teach are long term solutions for practicing, shedding, and mechanics. I look forward to teaching you!
I have been playing trumpet for three years, however, I have been on a highly accelerated track. I was able to use it to fully enroll at berry college at 16 on a trumpet performance undergraduate. I focus on being a well rounded player and I can help beginners and intermediates establish healthier, more efficient playing mechanics and tone, work through difficult music for auditions, and learn the beginnings of jazz.
Feel free to contact me for a lesson, they can be beneficial even if you don't play trumpet. Practice techniques aren't instrument specific! I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
