I have always had a heart for teaching and learning. I desire to help students be the best version of themselves as they can be. I strive to meet each students at their point of need. All students are different and have different needs. I try to become aware of the strengths and weaknesses of each student through continuous assessments and observations. My philosophy of teaching is based on a belief that learning needs to be student centered and that students need to be equal partners in the learning process. My role involves using my expertise to put the necessary resources in the hands of the students. I want to be sure that my students are well equipped to find and evaluate the resources they need to answer their questions. An excellent teacher is not just someone who explains. Not someone who just demonstrates. An excellent teacher is someone who inspires. An excellent teacher goes the extra mile. They can take any student and make them believe, truly believe, that their hopes and dreams are within their reach. An excellent teacher will not let a student walk away until every question is fully explained and completely understood. The last aspect of my philosophy is the importance of maintaining a constant rapport with the parents. I provide parents with strategies on how to help their child with homework. I believe the key to a successful student are these three parts the student, the parent, and the teacher. When all three parts are working and doing their part, I believe that any student can be successful.
