Hello, I'm Jody. I have been teaching for the last 16 years. Hello, I'm Jody. I have been teaching for the last 16 years. My longest and most recent experience teaching in a classroom setting was teaching academic English to non-native speakers of English at a local university. These 6 years of my career enhanced my knowledge base and teaching experience for topics like reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar. I have found that although my focus has been on the non-native English-speaking community, my skill set is beneficial to people who need assistance in any one of those areas. My general style includes building report with a student, goal setting, accountability through completion of homework , weekly examination of progress in any particular focus. My experience has been that this way of achieving actually works as long as the student's will to succeed is also present. Each student is different, so my methods typically adjust to the spirit and needs of the person or situation. My main focus is on creating an anxiety free space so that learning can actually take place. Lastly, in addition to my services, I enjoy recommending any other sources I know which can enhance learning experiences. I hope to hear from you!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor
