Hello to all! I graduated spring 2012 with bachelor's degrees in both Fashion Merchandising and Apparel Design (design emphasis) and Spanish, respectively). In addition to earning both degrees, I have always sought to learn and maintain knowledge in other skills and trades. I believe in being well-rounded because one never knows when certain information may prove to be useful. I am currently a visual merchandising associate; however, I am more interested in putting my knowledge and skills to use and what better way than to assist another growing mind? I also find that in the process of teaching we become students as well. One of my favourite quotations is from Gandhi: "Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever." Take care, stay positive, and keep learning!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have earned my degree in Fashion Merchandising & Apparel Design. Throughout my college career, I have designed and sewn several collections, in addition to garments created in my courses. I have been interning with a designer, Paul Carroll, since last May, gaining even more experience in patternmaking, draping, and other sewing techniques. I have thorough knowledge of sewing and I am continuously reinforcing learned aspects within my field.
