I started teaching in 2010 as an undergraduate peer instructor. Upon getting into graduate school at UF, I was a teaching assistant for a variety of courses; Physics I Lab, Online Physics, and Physics II Discussion Section. I had a client over the summer whom I for Physics II, and he attained a 14/15 on his first exam, a 15/15 on his second exam, and a perfect score on the final; thus attaining an A in the course.
Before I graduated, I was the Physics instructor for the STEP-UP engineering program at UF. We utilized the flipped-classroom model for our courses, and the students had just graduated from high school and were entering into their first year of college.
Currently, I am a physics instructor at the university level and am very blessed to have this job. My focus is on Physics Education Research; an area where our goal is to develop and update the current teaching methods being used in the physics classroom in order to better assist our student in gaining the knowledge and confidence in the topic of physics.
Through all of these experiences, I have gained a large amount of knowledge, skill, and patience needed to help students succeed in their courses.

Great tutor!

Ashley did an amazing job helping my son get through Calculus 1 last semester! He has always struggled with math, but with her help he was able to pull his grade up to a high "B". We are very happy that she is available again to help him with Calculus 2 this semester! I would definitely recommend her to anyone down at GSU.
