I took two years of Japanese in college but wanted to review/improve my Japanese. When I first began with Jumi K sensei, I knew about 50 Kanji and in about 3 months my Kanji comprehension has increased to 500. Also when I first began, I had difficulty in expressing myself in Japanese. Today, I feel much more comfortable speaking in Japanese with Jumi sensei correcting me.
Ms. Jumi is a wonderful Japanese tutor. She is very approachable, both for my son and me. In addition, my son says she is one of the best teachers he'd ever had. She plans ahead for each lesson and varies it to keep it interesting.
Thank you very much for wonderful words! I will try my best, but your feedback and advice is very important for my improvement. Please give me your thought freely even negatives. Thank you for all your support.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
