Bio

I currently teach Pre-K at a charter school, in Savannah. I absolutely love my classroom so much that I decided to teach online as well, I have a passion for music. One of my favorite things to do is sing. I taught vocal lessons at Portman's Music Academy for 2 years, before I graduated from Savannah State University. I also toured around Georgia singing in the Savannah State Concert Choir as well as singing solo for the Savannah State Jazz band. I like to think of myself as being well...

I also toured around Georgia singing in the Savannah State Concert Choir as well as singing solo for the Savannah State Jazz band. I like to think of myself as being well rounded in music as well as art. My enjoyment for music is something that motivates me to teach children and adult learners core subject skills as well as music emphasis classes.

It is required for me to teach common core math, English, History and Science Monday-Friday to my class.

I have taken many core classes all the way up to a collegiate level. I teach core lessons as a lead teacher at The Sanctuary Learning Center.

With me it will be fun to learn. I like to make up easy learning songs to help students learn faster and retain more.

Sight Singing,

Sight Singing

I was in the All-State Chorus for Houston County High School. In order to be in that choir you had to go through a series of sight-singing tests. The sight singing test consisted of tonal memory test, singing major, minor and chromatic scales on a given pitch, and sight singing on numbers, solfege, or a vowel. I teach my students on solfege. In college, I applied my high school experience and joined the Savannah State Chorus by auditioning first. Their requirements was a GPA of 2.5 as well as a sight singing test. In that particular sight singing test I sang a school hymnal which later I learned to be the Savannah State Alma Mater. In my college years I taught at Portman's Music Academy; where I did apply solfege and sight reading teaching to my students. I also was the soprano section leader and held practices for the soprano section as well as conducted songs for them and the choir.
