University of North Carolina, Charlotte (History)
Good day to you. My name is Harris H. I'm a recent graduate of the History program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Through my program I took coursework that allowed me to do teacher shadowing as well as took several courses in the education program that built the necessary skills to teach. I have passed the requirements for licensure including completion of all of the PRAXIS examinations, and I am currently awaiting my certification.
During my studies I covered a wide variety of historical studies including several different periods of American history, World History as a whole, and European history including English history as well as a focus on Russian history as well. I studied both cultural and biological anthropology. Additionally I spent a period of time researching public health and the accompanying sciences that go with them. As a result of these studies I have a very diverse field of knowledge to contribute to the education of the student, and a wide skill set of study habits, writing skills, and learning devices that can help facilitate the growth of knowledge in the learner.
I have studied both Biological as well as Cultural anthropology. I have a strong understanding of the developmental studies that accompany biological including the historical end and some primate ecology. I have written a number of papers and studied several areas regarding cultural anthropology and have a strong background of using the methods of research that are performed in the field.
Previous studies saw to it that I also have an understanding of chemistry and health sciences from a period of time where I studied Public health as well.
My Major was in history. I have studied many different periods of history and researched and written on them all. I dedicated roughly two years of my college career to learning American history, and another year to learning about all different regions and periods of European history including English history spanning back to medieval times as well as Russian and German histories.
Through my studies I have developed the skills necessary to adequately take information from historical texts and apply them in the form of written historical articles, essays, and research papers.
I'm a qualified and understanding tutor with a flexible schedule, a willingness to travel, and a desire to facilitate learning in the student. I would love to be able to assist the student in any field that I am capable of, and pass on the skills that I have gained and assist in processes that I have ample experience in such as writing. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
During my time in university I researched both biological and cultural anthropology. I have written on and studied primate ecology, developmental anthropology, as well as studied the cultures of several nations including multiple parts of Africa, and film trends globally.
I have spent some time researching public health, in turn I have spent quite some time learning biology.
