I am excited for the opportunity to come alongside you and do learning together. Most of my tutoring experiences have been for kids in elementary school in reading, math, ESL and also in Spanish. I was an elementary school teacher (certified through the state of Tennessee) both here in the USA as well as abroad. I love being in the classroom and working with students, but I also enjoy the personal benefits of meeting with students one on one, and focusing on target skills, tailored to meet specific needs. Every student is unique, and I enjoy being part of the process of helping you grow in areas you need extra help with.
It is valuable for both of us, that I take the time to create our lessons to meet your individual needs, and to help you achieve your goals in an interactive and fun atmosphere. I have trained teachers in different countries on the benefits of how learning can be fun as well as productive. Keeping in mind that all students learn differently, I work my lessons around the three learning styles: audio, visual, and kinesthetic, in my approach to working through our material.
I look forward to working with you!
My experience as an educator is uniquely diverse ranging from pre-school, elementary, and adult education. I have worked as a teacher and tutor both here in the United States as well as in Latin America; and most recently in the Middle East where I did traditional classroom education as well as teacher training, student evaluations, and also working as an assistant principal. I enjoy the livelihood of classroom life, as well as the opportunity to focus on individual skill needs that tutoring provides. One of the best parts of being an educator is helping students meet their goals in an interactive environment where they build confidence as they grow as learners. Dear Student,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
