Personal Description: I hold a PhD in telecommunication engineering as well as a first class degree in electronic engineering. I'm a friendly and sociable person who likes to help students achieve their potential.
Tutoring Experience: I have more than 6 years tutoring experience with more than 100 students now. Virtually all getting the grades they needed and many making impressive gains. I have also been a lab demonstrator for electronics and C programming undergraduate students for the past 3 years at the university of Surrey.
Tutoring Approach: I am a systematic, organized and patient tutor. I have the passion to help students achieve their potential through understanding their needs, evaluating and enhancing their core skills. Basically I teach the topics through doing the related problem exercises. Isaac Newton said "an example is worth a thousand precepts" and it is very true, you don't understand the theory until you can use it to solve tangible problems.
In practice this means focusing on a problem set taken from the student's materials and when problems arise we go back over the related theory briefly filling in any gaps. We do this until you're getting most of the problems right and then and only then do we start a new topic. It is a fail safe approach because in only moving on once you have learned something properly you start to put down strong foundations and that is when the confidence comes. My son really learned a lot from his first session with Amine. He told me that Amine is very intelligent. Amine was going over a math problem and showing my son how to answer. My son told him that his teacher showed him a variance of the way to solve. My son said that Amine picked up immediately on how the teacher explained the solving of the problem. My son was highly impressed!
My sister is learning a lot from her tutor Amine. She has been excited about math recently, after her meeting with him. I look forward and I am confident her grades will improve. I will post again after her next test.
Amine is very patient when working with my teenagers. They both ask each week when he's coming back. They enjoy the one on one instruction and how he puts them at ease. My daughter has commented that she likes the way he explains things to her. I would highly recommend him to other families.
I loved working with this tutor as he helped me understand the problems and worked together to solve the complicated questions. I worked on a quiz with him and I was hoping to get a B. But I received A in the quiz so I am very impressed. Best tutor I have had in a while. Definitely would love to work with him again.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a first class degree in electronics engineering and am in the process of finishing a PhD in telecommunication engineering. I have had a lot of mathematics modules which covered differential equations and how to solve them.
I have a first class degree in electronics engineering and am in the process of finishing a PhD in telecommunication engineering. I have had two modules in digital signal processing which deeply covered discrete Math.
