Hi, my name is Arnold. It is my personal goal to make math easy for all of my students. First, I let each student know that they can do math, and given proper teaching, care, and time the student will be very good in math and have fun also.
Second, I find out why the student may be having trouble with math, and then help him or her apply the math to their everyday life. I am also very interested in the person's learning style ... whether the person is visual, auditory (learns by listening), or is a hands-on type of learner. A learning plan is then created from this to help the student know “how to learn” for one's self.
My experience has been in the last 15 years in algebra, statistics, and calculus at many of the colleges here in Atlanta. I also come to the schools, volunteer at churches, and visit in the home. My tutoring is devoted to serving my client based upon what the person's need may be. My other work experience has been as an Education Consultant with the Youth Empowerment Project in Riverdale, GA.
In the school year of 2013-14, I returned to Clayton State University to continue my “desire to learn” as I have done so much in my past. To my success and joy, the Dean’s List was made by me both semesters of the year. Learning is a joy for me, and I already hold a Master’s in Education from the University of Phoenix and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. My BS in Industrial Management is from Purdue University.
I take great pride that many of my students grow to love math as I help them begin to see the light. My students say that I am a great math tutor because of being patient, caring, and most of all, I help make math easy. I have come to be known by my students as the Mathman.
I “love” teaching! See you soon. Thank you.

Mr. M. is a great tutor and my son was very pleased. He showed up on time, was pleasant and really helped my son with his math. I've never seen my son study so hard after each tutoring session and he went into the graduation exam with confidence.
Excellent Tutor -- will recommend to anyone! Thanks.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
