I was a Math major in college, MBA, Financial Analyst for Gulf Oil Corp. and Chevron Corp. I'm a former Accounting and Business Professor. I enjoy helping others grasp math and accounting concepts. While I enjoy teaching in the classroom, my favorite means of teaching is one on one. I am an encourager.

Linda has helped our daughter tremendously with Geometry. She has become more relaxed and confident in the class and enjoys Geometry now. We had 70%s on most tests, in 5 weeks our last test was a 94%. Will keep using Linda to keep the consistency and enjoyment of the Geometry going.
My daughter was skeptical at first of getting a tutor. Linda was able to make a connection with my daughter from the first lesson, and now my daughter waits in anticipation for her times with Linda. My daughter's grades and self esteem have both increased through Linda's efforts. While we are all looking forward for the summer, my daughter is already confident in tackling the next grade knowing that Linda will be there to help out.
Great job Linda, we really appreciate all you have done.
Linda has been working with my niece for almost 6 months on Algebra and Geometry. She has not only worked with her on the math but on study strategies that will hopefully help her in other subjects. The sessions have made a huge difference in my niece's understanding of the subjects. She could not have passed without Linda.
I set up our first session with Linda for this past weekend. This was my first time to use a tutor and I was hesitant to try, as was my 13 year old daughter. Linda is quite professional and very pleasant to deal with. She made the whole experience low stress and my daughter quickly asked for more sessions. Linda seemed quite comfortable working with a 13 year old girl and algebra. I have a hectic schedule running my business, and having the extra help is priceless. The Wyzant system is well organized and easy to use. Great tutor and great system! I'm impressed so far.
Linda has been a huge help in keeping me on track for taking the GRE. She has helped me overhaul my study materials, study plan, and way of thinking about math in general. She is incredibly patient while working through problems and concepts. I know that with her help my Quantitative score on the GRE is going to match my goals.
My daughter seems to be having a positive experience with Linda. Linda has given us valuable studying tips. I am glad we chose to have our daughter tutor with Linda.
Linda was very patient. After my sons session he said he learned a lot, even though math is his biggest challenge. He went on to do two more lessons after Linda left, which is a great accomplishment.
Linda has helped my daughter go from a D to an A-! She is very calm and patient. Linda really watched for what she was missing and went over it week after week until my daughter really understood it independently.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
This subject includes real numbers, solving linear equations and systems of equations, slope-intercept method, percents, ratios and graphing. Algebra is my favorite subject to teach.

I have taught 5th and 6th grade, tutored in grades K-6, and proctored Stanford achievement tests for elementary students grades 1-6.
I help develop math skills for students from kindergarten through 6th grade.
I have helped GRE and GMAT students prepare for the math portion of the exam. One of my students went up so significantly in his score that he was able to get into his first choice grad school.
