I am a language enthusiast that has been studying various languages for the past 10 years. I am fluent in Spanish and have spent seven years studying the language and culture. I have a lot of experience being a language learner which helps me connect with others learning the language than someone who naturally learned Spanish. I have taught myself Japanese and French and I could be considered a professional language learner. I specialize in knowing the grammar of a language and devising ways of memorizing and understanding grammatical concepts that many find difficult, and boring, to learn.
I have informally tutored classmates in Spanish for years, however, in my final year of college I became a paid tutor with my university. I have the most experience working with students high school aged as well as adult learners. I am a language enthusiast that has been studying various languages for the past 10 years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
