Kennesaw State University (Geography)
Hello and Bonjour!
I am a Kennesaw State graduate with a B.A. in Human Geography and a minor in French and Francophone studies. During undergrad, I had the opportunity to experience Francophone culture up close in person during a semester abroad program in Tours, FR known for its proximity to France's castle and wine region the Loire Valley. All courses were in French and I came away with a better knowledge of the culture as well as the language. After my studies, I left again for France to a region located in West France (Pays de la Loire). Here I was an English Teaching Assistant in the city of Angers, FR for one full school year. I was completely immersed in a region where most locals do not speak English.
I have been actively studying the language for 12 years now. I have taken various proficiency exams such as the TCF (Test de Connaissance de Francais), DELF (Diplome d'Etudes en Langue Francaise), ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages), and the TFI (Test de Francais International). I currently hold a DELF B2 diploma accredited by the French Ministry of Education. DELF/DALF exams are the best certification of language level for non-native speakers of French.
Apart from my academic experience, I look forward to helping you improve your language skills and sharing my enthusiasm for all things French. This would include Francophone culture, music, travel, recreation, and most importantly the cuisine. I use a variety of teaching methods and resources to keep lessons stimulating , interactive (music, videos, online exercises, books), and most importantly fun! Each lesson will be tailored to your specific level and goals. S'il vous plait, do not hesitate to get in touch if you find I would be a great fit for your needs! A tres bientot mes apprenants de Francais! See you soon French learners! Hello and Bonjour!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have over eight years experience with the French language where I began in middle school and continued throughout my undergraduate experience. I served as an exchange student living in Tours, FR for four months in the fall of 2012. September 2014 - June 2015, I participated in an eight-month long teaching assistant program in the city of Angers, FR (TAPIF - Teaching Assistant Program in France). During this period, I taught english language classes to primary school French students. In similar fashion, I provided private English tutoring lessons to French clients. Moreover, I currently teach French at a language institute from the beginner to the advanced levels. I hold the DELF B2 diploma, an internationally recognized French language proficiency exam in the areas of oral and written comprehension, and oral and written expression. Class and lesson styles may vary according to clients needs. Specializes in the areas of improving reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and oral expression (speaking and conversation).
I have a B.A. in Geography from Kennesaw State University. I have taken numerous courses on various sub-disciplines including: Cultural, Political, Historical, North American, and Sub-saharan African Geographies. These classes provided me with the basic principles in the discipline I needed to better understand today's globalized world.
