“**Help for Physics**”

Curiosity and discovery have brought me great joy and freedom that I have been compelled to share with others from the moment I could speak. And I have found the fulfillment of celebrating another's success through my teaching is just as sweet as having succeeded myself.

After graduating cum laude in …

Kayla's performance has moved from a C to a B! He challenges the student, aligns the school curriculum and meets the student where they are in understanding the work. Lastly, last weekend homework was very productive- we didn't stay up all night trying to complete the assignment- it was done with ease! If we stay on this path we could end the year with a B+ or an A!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have used math academically and in my career almost daily for the last ten years. With algebra being the foundation for the more advanced mathematics I use, it is something I can apply naturally and with little thought.

As an engineer, I have extensive experience applying mathematics to real world problems. My knowledge covers algebra and more, and with me as your tutor, you will have a great resource available to you.

I have a strong background in mathematics and applied mathematics from a bachelor's and master's program in engineering and three years of experience working as an engineer and teaching college level engineering students. My knowledge extends beyond memorizing equations and into learning by applying study skills and problem solving.

As an engineer, I have mastered the foundations of mathematics. As a young father, I love working with young people, and they love working with me!

I have been using computers for over twenty years and have mastered the practice of learning new software. My experience ranges from Microsoft Office to Photo Shop to technical design and drafting tools.

In college, I completed two degrees in engineering which required a high level of proficiency in math. I have been applying geometry in my academic studies and in my career for the past ten years, and I am prepared not only to teach the material, but to demonstrate how it is used in the real world.

I have been a student of music for more than twenty years, during which time I studied piano formally for six years. I am a self-taught guitarist, and I have been playing guitar for fourteen years. Over the years, I have taught lessons informally, and I have never stopped teaching myself.

I have used MATLAB extensively both academically and in real life applications for the last 10 years. Most recently, I taught college engineering students to use MATLAB as a tool for developing their problem solving skills, and I developed analytics in MATLAB working as a part of a software development team.

I hold a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University. Over the last ten years, when I haven't been studying, I have been working in a related but various disciplines, including manufacturing, R&D, design, and software. After completing my master's degree, I taught engineering at a local community college, and I told my students that in every form, engineering is a discipline of problem solving. To declare a particular major within engineering is to specify your preference and focus area, but it is uncommon for an engineer to work ONLY within their discipline for the duration of their career. So to my core, I am a problem solver, and a veteran based on the variety of roles I have filled over the years.

I have been responsible for developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets tracking technical information in different roles for the last eight years. Most recently I worked as a software engineer using Excel to build and validate datasets.

I have a bachelors in mechanical engineering, and in graduate school, I did research in earth mechanics. Physics is a familiar subject to me, and one which I have applied both in school and in my career as an engineer.

I have been a student of music for more than twenty years. Of that time, I spent six years studying piano formally, and I have continued studies of the piano on my own since high school. I have taught lessons, both formally and informally.

I studied engineering for seven years and worked as an engineer for the last three. As a result, I have mastered the concepts and application of algebra.
