“**Great teacher, very patient and non-intimidating.**”

I have graduated with a Diploma Graduate Studies in Math Teaching from the University of the Philippines and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. I have been successfully working in a manufacturing company in the last 10 years.

I have consistently done both paid and unpaid tutorial jobs since high school, through college and even

Jennifer B really helped my daughter get ready for her Geometry Mid-terms. She was completely lost on many if the concepts and by the end of the session she was prepared for the test. Her confidence was boosted and she enjoyed her lesson.

Jennifer helped me prepare for the math section of my GRE's for graduate school. She was very flexible, on time, and extremely knowledgeable. She was able to teach me in a very short time how to successfully solve each of the problems which were giving me difficulty. She has a strong math background and is very patient! She is an all around wonderful tutor!. She also knows how to solve a wide range of problems (algebra, geometry, calc., etc.)

Jennifer is an excellent tutor for the adult learner if you have a hard time with math as I do. She was able to help me get through a survey of calculus, and PASS the course. There is no way I would have made it without her. Next year, my twins will have pre-calculus as one of their math courses, and I have already told her if they need help, I will be calling her FIRST! Thanks for all your help, Jennifer!

I got crazy and skipped pre-calc to fulfill my calculus requirement for my MBA, and then got scared, so I hired Jen! Jen wasted no time; she was cognizant of my goals up front to insure I’d get the most out of our sessions. She is responsive, always punctual and prepared, and breaks down overwhelming functions into simple terms so even the challenged can see the light. I may not have needed her often, but for the times we did meet, her assistance was valuable.

My daughter really liked her. She said it was a very good lesson, helped a lot. (Last tutor was very intimidating.) I'm very hopeful that Jen will be a good fit! Thanks!

She has done well to this point with my son. She is patient and understanding and his grades have gone up. Definitely recommend her.

My daughter felt very comfortable and believes that you are the right fix for her. She was very excited to share with me a skill/ strategy you taught her, and hopefully it will work for the quiz on Friday.

Thanks so much and looking forward to seeing you soon.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taken this subject in high school, as well 9 units in college for my course in Civil Engineering. I have also started teaching this under the subject calculus.

In starting Differential Equations, it is important that certain preparatory topics are also discussed. These topics include graphs, linear function, understanding limits and their property as well well as being able to find these limits both graphically and numerically. It is also important to be able to evaluate limits analytically and cover continuity, one-sided limit and infinite limits.

After the tangent line problem is introduced, we can start showing the meaning of derivatives. I normally separate this into 4 areas; a. the basic derivatives which includes constant, simple function and a function with a numerical coefficient, b. the product and quotient rule, c. Chain rule and d. the implicit derivative.
