I have been learning and teaching others my entire life. I started teaching my brothers how to read and write when I was about 9 years old. Back then we did not have color TV, internet, or electronics to play with so one of our activities or games to entertain each other and neighbors during the summer and on weekends was "playing" school. In fact, 2 of the children in our group are now lawyers, one is a pharmacist, 2 of us are working on our Doctorate degrees in education, and the other 2 are millionaires in the oil industry. I guess playing school was not a bad game after all.
I love music and dancing and was a dance teacher for years. I also worked at Walt Disney World and The Ritz Carlton. I do love people of all international cultures, customs, art, languages, and once again I must include dance and music. They are the thread that tie the universe together with a little butter and a lot of laughter and love. I use my loud giggling and animation to keep students entertained while they are learning without even knowing they are working.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
