I love teaching math, science and social studies! I have taught in Pike County for 16 years. I am certified K-5, and I am currently teaching all subjects in 4th grade. I hold a bachelor's, master's, and specialist degree in Early Childhood Education. I am open to teaching any subject area, but math is what I prefer tutoring. I try to make math fun, fun, fun!!!!! I love to sing and dance when teaching most math concepts. I break math down in ways that students can understand. Many of my students come back to visit me years down the road, and they still remember the songs and dances I taught them.
I have tutored after school and during the summers. I love children, and want the best for the them, so I give them my best when I am tutoring them. I am very patient and great at what I do. My students do really, really well on the standardized test. I have excellent communication skills, and I have a passion for helping students succeed. I am the best little tutor around! If you choose me, you will not be disappointed!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
