About Randy

I am a graduate clinician from Valdosta State University (VSU) pursuing a master's degree in communication sciences and disorders. I am currently in my last year of graduate school. I will start my internship at Sanders Elementary in Cobb County this August.

I have been a tutor/mentor for high school students in the Upward Bound Program through VSU's Social Equity Department. I tutored on the subjects of math and science. I assisted the students with SAT and ACT preparation. As their mentor, I addressed several real-life scenarios (economical, racism, family dynamics, and etc.) and ways to handle them.

Math has always been my favorite subject. In high school l took math courses up to Pre-Calculus. During my undergraduate profession l took Pre-algebra, Trigonometry, and Statistics.

As a graduate clinical in speech language pathology, l have worked with clients in the areas of reading fluency and vocabulary usage.

As a undergraduate and graduate student, my program required me to have a minimum GPA of a 3.0. I have taken a Phonetics and a Phonology course.

I am a brilliant young man that will engage all of my clients to perform at their maximal potential.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

l have been deemed qualified through the WyzAnt system in Algebra 1. l also have credits from Valdosta State University for the courses of Pre-Algebra, Trigonometry, and Statistics.

Phonics

I am a graduate clinician from Valdosta State University pursing my master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). My Bachelor's degree is in CSD for Speech Language Pathology (SLP). Phonetics, the study of sounds, definitely is a cornerstone for SLPs to master.
