My passion for music includes teaching guitar and vocals to students who wish to learn to perform popular songs. I have held year long engagements as a solo artist at local establishments, and have been featured in showcase tribute performances and have performed with a backup band and in a musical.
I specialize in tutoring musical timing, music theory, guitar voicings that support melody, and vocal training to help you discover your central tone. I will teach you the guitar bass line, melody line, licks and riffs within the song you wish to learn and help you pull it all together into one cohesive performance.
I enjoy teaching the guitar techniques that will help you learn any song you wish. The techniques include: simplified practice patterns, relevant scales, alternate chords, voicings and isometrics for the hard to reach chords. Vocal training includes: posture, breath, elocution, transition and tonality.
I look forward to teaching you the secrets of a good sounding guitar performance and if you wish, a matching vocal to complement the guitar.
I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy I also offer makeup classes.
To ensure that students have a comfortable and convenient study space in which to learn I offer training via Skype and I am also available to travel to another location.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
