Hello, My name is Kerling I have the beliefs that every child can learn. As a former ESOL student, I have gained the conviction if a person is willing to learn, regardless of the obstacles, he/she will succeed. I completed my master's degree in ESOL/Teaching and Learning. I decided to return to school because I saw too many students with great potential falling behind due to the language barrier, or learning disabilities. I have a passion for teaching, and for children. I want to see every child with a heart to learn succeed. I am very patient, and do not have a problem teaching a concept more than once. My conviction is that no question is an unnecessary question. I want my students to feel at ease so that they are comfortable to ask questions. I have experience working with students in to middle school, but my preference is to work with elementary students. Presently I am employed in Cobb County School District working with children with various challenges. Should you entrust me with your son/daughter, you will soon see an improvement both academically and socially. Your child will develop a love for learning that you may not have ever seen before. I love forward to hear from you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I recently completed my masters in ESOL/Teaching and Learning. I have a passion for teaching. I understand the frustration one may encounter when trying to learn a new language; for this was one of challenges many years ago. I have experience teaching individuals trying to speak, read and write English. My model of teaching is fun and motivating.
I worked as teacher on a provisional license with student from grade 6 -8 at Memorial Middle school. Today, I am employed as paraprofessional at an elementary school while I complete my course studies to acquire my permanent certification. The students I have experience working with ranged from having ADD/ADHD, Autism, MOID, SID,PID, and EBD. I also have a son who has been diagnosed as having ADHD. He is doing well. He recently graduated elementary school, and was in the gifted program at his school. I believe if a child is given the proper tools and resources, he will do well. You child is no different.
