“**My son loves working with Andrew!**”

I have 12 years of teaching experience. I've helped hundreds of students identify specific, concrete ways to improve their performance in a wide variety of subjects.

In addition to tutoring 5-10 students a week, I have taught GRE and SAT

My son is very pleased and comfortable with Andrew. Andrew is very patient and really helping my son to come along with various Math concepts. At first I thought my son would be skeptical about tutoring sessions, but he never wants to miss his sessions with Andrew! He feels that Andrew is providing him with more help than his past school Math teacher. We are happy to be working with Andrew and how he is accommodating to work around my schedule. After today’s session, my son has expressed that he wants to continue tutoring with Andrew for his upcoming 10th grade year.

My child is working towards a better SAT score and would like to have a higher grade in his pre-calc class. Andrew helped my child see a different way to work problems. We plan to have Andrew back again for more tutoring!

Andrew helped me prep for my final exam in college calculus, we reviewed the entirety of the material from start to finish. He helped me remember how to solve the various problems and even furthered my knowledge on the problems by explaining its application in regards to physics courses. I received a 98 on my final exam with his help!

Andrew's math explanations are clear and easy to understand. He was able to figure out what my daughter didn't know on the SAT math sections and help her fill in the blanks. Hopefully progress on the test will ensue!

Andrew helped me think about how to review the answer and process through them to improve my efforts in getting the right answer

I was looking for a tutor to help improve my brother's scores after taking the ACT. "Andrew is the best" is what my lil brother said after learning easier ways to solve problems. Thank you and we will be using Andrew again.

Andrew is a great tutor. He provides regular written reports so that I can follow along with my son's progress. He works well with my son who is a rising sophomore. Their focus is the common core and reinforcement of previous year content.

Andrew is such a sweet guy and very flexible. He knows his stuff and comes super prepared to the lessons. I highly recommend him as a pre-calculus tutor!!!!!!

Andrew is an excellent tutor who is able to teach concepts in multiple ways. Very patient and easily accessible to meet during the week. Would definitely recommend!

Andrew helped me get my SAT score to a 1920, when twice before I couldn't get above a 1750, in only three tutoring sessions.

I am taking the GRE once again and with the help of Andrew I know I will be way more prepared this go around. He doesn't just regurgitate GRE info I have already studied but gives me new techniques and better understandings of how to approach each problem. I will be working with Andrew a few more times until my test date and I know I will have the confidence to improve my score.

My daughter met with Andrew for the 1st time this past Saturday. Immediately after the session, she came to me and asked if she could continue meeting with him. On the ride home from the library, she told me all about how things that she had been struggling with, now made so much sense. When she came home from school today, she was super excited. the first thing she told me when she got into the car was how exciting math class was because she knew everything that the instructor was going to cover.

It's one thing to know a given subject matter, it's an entirely different thing to know how to teach someone else what may come easy for you.

Andrew not only knows the subject, he knows how to teach it!

If you or anyone you know needs help with math, Andrew is the guy you should be calling!

We will surely continue tutoring sessions with Andrew!

Andrew has been working with my daughter with her preparation for the ACT. She has been very pleased with Andrew and says that he's very knowledgeable about the ACT test, patient, and motivating. My daughter really enjoys working with him because he brings a combination of warmth, fun & focus to each session. Thanks to Andrew, she feels extremely positive about the upcoming test this weekend. We would definitely hire Andrew again!

I was so lucky to accidentally find his ad two month ago on the WyzAnt website!!

Mostly I was afraid of the math part, because my knowledge was weak even in my native language (Ukranian) so what could I say about math in English. But GRE is a required test for my Masters Degree so I decided to not give up and work on it!

When we first met, literally, I didn’t even remember how to subtract or add fractions. After two months of systematically practicing, for the first time in my life I felt confident in a majority of questions!

Because of his methods of teaching, strong knowledge, incredible positive energy, and patience, he is so outstandingly talented!

If you want to challenge your knowledge or either start from the beginning as I did - I would highly recommend Andrew as a strong tutor in GRE!! Thank you.

p.s. please do not judge strictly for grammatical errors. I am still learning English.

Andrew has been tutoring my 9th grader in Geometry for several months. He has been very helpful. My child reports that Andrew is great at explaining concepts and alternative ways to solve problems.

Andrew was able to change our lesson time with short notice and is always willing and flexible to assist us!

Thanks so much!

Andrew is very professional and personable. He returns calls or texts promptly. My son feels that Andrew is knowledgeable and knows how to get to the essentials quickly.

Addendum: Our son took the SAT this past October and his score increased by 200+ points. Andrew was an excellent tutor. I HIGHLY recommend him. He is very good at assessing the student's needs and in turn tailoring the tutoring sessions to address the specific areas that need attention.

Andrew was a wonderful help in prepping for my GRE. He was knowledgeable, clear in his explanations of concepts, and easy to work with. I know that with his help I was able to improve my score to a level I was happy with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor.

Andrew was great in helping my son prepare for the ACT in the last minute. He was on time, dependable, and flexible. He was very helpful. Will call him again!

My son has struggled with Algebra 1 concepts all semester even with my guidance. Andrew jumped right in and they worked through about 50 problems during the 1st session. Andrew guided my son through the logic of the problems, answering questions posed by Andrew.

Was having troubles with understanding tangent and secant lines. By the end of the session my understanding became better as we did problems and he assisted me in coming to the correct answer. Very patient and calm and look forward to future tutorials.

We could not be more pleased with our experience with Andrew H. He was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the ACT. Andrew was very flexible with us on working with our schedule. If we ever need any more tutoring Andrew will be our choice. I would strongly recommend Andrew to anyone for tutoring services.

Andrew provided some tutoring for my high school child. He was very accommodating to our child's activity schedule. He was also patient in allowing the opportunity to learn concepts and having time to do the work. Many tutors will show you how to do the work, but they don't give you the opportunity to test it themselves to ensure they understand it. Andrew did just that. Great way to teach a student. He also provided good tools to use outside of the 1x1 sessions for practice. Highly recommended.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I took the AB and BC calculus exams in high school. Since then, I've worked with half a dozen or so students taking calculus either in college or high school. I'm very comfortable with the material covered in first-year calculus courses such as limits, derivatives, integrals, related rates, rotating shapes to create solids and so on.

I am familiar with standard first-order predicate logic up through introductory modal logic. I am really good at derivations and proofs and I enjoy doing them.

Most of what I know I learned through a graduate-level symbolic logic course, for which I earned an "A." I also taught introductory level critical thinking classes for 2 years.

I have been teaching SAT prep classes to groups of 4-12 students since July 2011. I have also tutored many students one-on-one. I know the content of the test like the back of my hand, and I know lots of little tricks and strategies to help you bring your scores up.

I ask my students to determine their "baseline" score by taking a practice test, and to decide what their target score is (usually based on what college they want to attend). Based on this information, we can determine how much work they need to do and in what areas, so we can develop a plan to get them from point A to point B.

In some cases, students just need a few lessons to make sure they are approaching the questions using the best methods and have a good plan for how to prepare. In other cases, I work with students several times a week for months going topic-by-topic to catch them up on the knowledge and skills they need to do well on each section of the test.

Almost all the students I've worked with see improvements of 50 points per section and many can improve 100 points per section.
