Walden University (Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment) (Master's)
Capella University (one year of Ph.D. program) (PhD)
I am "All but Dissertation," at Capella University with a Ph.D. degree in Education. I have six teaching certifications and have taught for 19 years between elementary and middle school. My undergraduate degree was in Music Education, and have a Master of Science degree from Walden University in Elementary Reading and Literacy. I have done private tutoring on-and-off during the last 19 years for students in all subjects, which include: math, reading, writing, and at one point vocal and piano lessons. My other teaching certifications are in Music (K-12), Early Childhood (K-5), Middle School (all) (4-8), Middle school Math (4-8), Middle School English (4-8), and Reading.
I still am working on my dissertation, and currently am teaching third-grade for the first time. I have spent the majority of my career teaching fifth through eighth grade. I have excellent writing skills, and am great at editing papers. I am confident that I am worth the money that you will be spending for my tutoring services. I have many years experience using differentiation to accommodate different learning styles and levels. While my price is meant for students within a 15 mile radius of my home and school address, there may be an additional fee for those that I may need to drive further to reach.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
