I have not only been working as a professional artist but I have also been teaching fine arts nearly 20 years. My approach to teaching is to meet the individual at his or her current technical ability and develop from there. I use what is called the Elaborate method to teaching. Each step gets more developed to worked towards a comprehensive confident end. I teach one to translate his or her personal understanding of three dimensional space to two dimension space. No matter the skill set I can confidently say that all of my students have advanced in their art making ability.
I can work with children, to teenagers, young adults, and older adults. To maximize learning I encourage at least a two hour session but a comprehensive skill development can be achieved in an hour session. During these sessions we can take a tradition art making account and/or if you prefer learning non traditional art making techniques those can be accomplished as well.
