I am an experienced private tutor that focuses on helping young women and girls excel at all levels in Test Prep for the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, State Law Bar, Law School exams, public speaking and communications. I have worked for over 20 years and started the iGirl Institute as an informal mentoring and tutoring effort for you women and girls to access tutoring support.
I am a sought-after public speaker and have spoken nationally and around the world to audiences ranging in sizes from 10-5000 persons or more. I have mentored and trained young women on career development success in both technical skills development and personal power, confidence and presence skills. I have written articles and published books for and about women.
I have over 30 years as a successful business owner running management consulting, marketing and a full service law firm. I am excited to help young women succeed and build self-confidence by building their skills and excitement to advance in achieving their personal and professional goals.
My primary tutoring style is based on guided assistance focused on self-discovery. I believe that when students discover how to discover the answer or desired results they benefit over simply discovering the particular result. My focus in on comprehension of the structure, process and means to identify solve, how to construct models for problem solution as opposed to simply finding the correct response to a problem or question. I am a fan of "show your work," so that you can discover your own unique critical thinking skills and abilities.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have engaged in public speaking for over 30 years, presented to and in front of audiences of over 5000 people or more. I focus on presence, capturing and holding the attention of the audience and how to adapt the content on demand to the audience. I am experienced at mentoring and tutoring students and adults on tone, content, presence and closing on important matters. I have experience as both a professional in business and an experience litigation litigator. I earned an MBA from University of Southern California in Marketing and Communications and a JD from Harvard Law School. I have appeared and argued cased before the California Supreme Court.
