About Muzammal

I graduated from Westside High School in Macon, Georgia. I attended Mercer University for three years and this semester I transferred to Kennesaw State University and am double majoring in Information Systems and Information Security Assurance. I was a Information Systems Technology Major and Chemistry and Biology minor when I was at Mercer. After I transferred to KSU, I realized that they did not have Chemistry minors and to complete my Biology minor, I would have to re-take my Biology classes. I am on the Pre-Med Track; I have taken up to Organic Chemistry I and am waiting to take Organic Chemistry II and Physics and then I will take my MCAT. My major is my backup if I don't do well on the MCAT. I have been helping fellow classmates ever since high school in the difficult subjects. I started tutoring Calculus freshman year at Mercer and the following year I started tutoring Chemistry after making A's in General Chemistry I and II. After taking Biology, I started tutoring Biology. I had to get recommendation letters from my professors to obtain the tutoring jobs.

I have a way with words and make things much simpler than they might seem. Most teachers teach in a certain way that can be confusing for people who might not have a strong basic understanding in that subject. I usually can show students basic methods when it comes to problem solving and techniques to help them in the future. The reason I'm an excellent tutor is because I myself have been to tutoring so many times and each time I felt better after understanding the subject I didn't know before. I make an effort to make the subject I tutor simple as possible. I will also help the student with fundamental building blocks in the subject they are having trouble with. I believe strongly in letting the student ask as many questions as they possibly can ponder. I enjoy enlightening young minds to become better students; any difficulty with a particular subject detected early can be mended by grasping a better understanding of the fundamental basics of that subject.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

Algebra is a key basic component of math that once understood is the building block of success in math. If the foundations are not solid, then whatever the building that is being built will not be strong and sturdy. Anyone can learn Algebra, all you have to know is multiplication and everything else builds on top of that. It is also easier to approach math if one thinks of it as a language. Once you understand the grammar, you will start fluent in the basics and it will be a cascade chain of events once you get to higher level of math. I made a C in 4th grade and ever since have been always asking questions until I am satisfied. My main advice to anyone taking math would be to ask questions no matter how stupid the question sounds.

Algebra 2

is important to understand the question before trying to attempt to solve the question. the answer is hidden within the question just like you know you just have to brush the sand away to get to thr bottom of the sandbox. once you truly have a firm foundation in the essentials of the subject is when you can learn more easier

ASP.NET

I have taught students how to make ASP.NET applications in the past. ASP.NET has two components: a front-end side that is like a regular website and back-end development to program the functionality of the application at the server side. It is important to make proper database designs on top of having a properly functioning website with CSS, Javascript and HTML. I have experience with using Visual Basic for the back-end development. It is also important to use Visual Studio in a manner that is efficient and effective. You also have to have a database that supports the login functionality to make sure proper users are logging into the application, so a basic ASP.NET application would have two databases running behind the website. I have used Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate and SQL Server 2008 for the production of the web application.

Calculus

Calculus is not hard, but the algebra, trig, and geometry that is underneath is where the struggle lies. The beginning of a problem is calculus, but the next part where you have to simplify to do the work without a calculator is the algebra and trig. I learned in high school to do trig without a calculator. I know exactly the facts that one needs to remember, and then the answers are always easy to find when you have the proper tools. It is about learning how to learn something. If the foundation is no good when building a house, then nothing will be sturdy later down the road. So once you understand the logic of each step, it will then become like playing a game when you are doing work. Becoming a professional student will also be success in mastering any topic at hand.

Chemistry

Chemistry has many foundations that must be solidified before learning the complex part of chemistry. It is first about conceptually analyzing what you have before you can work a problem out. Chemistry is cumulative and once the basics are understood then the more complex parts become easy.

Computer Programming

I have taken application development and I can help anyone plan the logic. I have done Ruby, Visual Basic, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. I have been teaching calculus and chemistry since 2007. I have taught visual basic, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ruby, SqL, and anything object oriented programming. I have two bachelors; Information Systems and Information security.

Microsoft Project

I have used MS Project in System Analysis & Design and Global IT Project Management class at Kennesaw State University. MS Project is a super powerful tool and I got it for free because I needed it for class. Gnatt charts are extremely useful and can be applied to anything. A project is something that you have to do, and this means that is goal oriented. If you have a project that is complicated, you have to break it down into smaller projects.

Microsoft Windows

I am very comfortable with installing Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. I have experience with running virtual computers and using the iso images to install the operating system. I am also very savvy with my way around Windows operating system. I have taken an operating systems class at Mercer, and I enjoyed partitioning hard drives to install operating systems.

Precalculus

Getting ready for calculus is not easy if you approach it in a manner that makes you more confused. I focus on learning all the foundational material that is required before precalculus before going further in that subject. The most basic math is where I see lot of problems, and once a student is able to understand the basics, the knowing the basics will be the byproduct of focusing on the understanding.

Web Design

I took Web Development I at Kennesaw State University, and I got an A in this course. I am very fluent in HTML and CSS. I have also taught HTML and CSS to multiple classmates to help with their understanding.
