About Judith

My love for teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. My grandmother was a teacher and instilled in me the value of learning and growing. My joy comes from watching other people grow!

The areas I specialize in are diverse. I learned needle arts and sewing at a young age and was teaching basic sewing at age 14. I can also teach knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, embroidery and other needle arts.

In addition, as a life coach I can teach leadership, basic business skills, and presentation skills as well as help with the personal development of a person. One of my goals is to develop the whole person while developing the area of training requested. I assign work after every lesson and ensure that every student learns from their mistakes. My teaching method is very interactive as we remember more from doing than any other way.

I offer individual sessions with individual rates as well as group sessions and multi-session packages with special rates. I look forward to hearing from you and being a part of your future success.

n addition to earning an MBA, I am a public speaker and trainer and have a specialized program to teach presentation skills.

I am certified in several personality assessments as well as a trained life coach. Through these specialties I can look at the whole person and help them see what career paths might be most suitable. I also teach them the basics of being a great leader.

I have been doing needle crafts since I was a child including sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and crewel embroidery. I was making my own clothes by the age of 15 and creating multi-colored sweaters by the age of 14. I also love to cook and am great at teaching the arts of bread making and home canning.

Life is full of possibilities. Contact me today to see how I can help you achieve your life's greatest possibilities.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Career Development

In addition to an MBA I am a life coach (Coach University) certified in personality assessments: DiSC, Keirsey KTS II Temperament Sorter, Hogan Assessments. I have been doing leadership and development training and consultation for over 10 years. I take a one-on-one approach to each individual bases on their profiles and needs.

Cooking

Cooking is one of my passions. While not a graduate of any professional school I have learned some specialties over the years. I learned from my grandmothers the true art of making breads the traditional ways. I also learned from them the art of home canning a pickling using all of the modern safety methods for safe and delicious results.

Needlework

I have been doing needlework and sewing since I was a child. These topics were not a luxury, they were a necessity when I was growing up. I learned to make my own clothes by the age of 14 for both financial reasons and for the love of the craft. I was making multi-colored ski sweaters by the age of 14 as well. I am an expert in most of these fields.

Public Speaking

As a leader in corporate America delivering presentations was a routing part of the position. I learned early on to love being in the front of the room or group imparting my knowledge to them. I gained specific "train the trainer" training in a position as the training manager of an international company.

Sewing

Sewing was a vital part of my growing up and I had to do it well to have clothes to wear. It was simply an economic need that turned into a lifelong passion. I was taught by my mother and the many books I used along the way to become an expert seamstress. I was teaching basic sewing at the age of 14 in my local community recreation department and went so far as to make my own formal gowns (the first one on a tredle machine!), winter coats and a man's formal event jacket.
