I was born and raised in China. I came to the U.S. for my Master's degree and later built my family here. Introducing Chinese language and culture to the American people is my passion. I have been teaching/tutoring Mandarin Chinese since 2005. My students have ranged from toddlers to adults. At least 4 of my former students are currently studying Chinese in universities here or have studied abroad in China.
It gives me great joy whenever the student grasps the new knowledge I'm trying to explain, and to see that he/she can apply it to real life situations.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
