Hello! I have six years in the education field. I have spent all six years teaching in the middle school arena. I have taught subjects ranging from English, to Reading, to Career Discovery, and even Drama. I have two children. A daughter age 3 (almost 4!!!) and a son age 5. My son has started kindergarten this year and it has been an adventure. Although he is in kindergarten, he reads on a second grade level. I read to my children every night and have my son read to me every night. My 3 year old daughter is already picking up on basic words.
I have enjoyed watching my students grow over the years. My greatest pleasure is watching a student who claims to hate reading when they enter my classroom to begging me to look at the book he/she has picked out to read next! My philosophy is and always has been, "Your education is the most important thing you can give yourself. No matter what, your education can NEVER be taken away from you. It is yours forever." And I am privileged to have had the opportunity to guide my students along that path along the last several years. I am now looking forward to working with students one on one and allowing them to reach their greatest potential!
I have always loved writing. I think it is one of the most intimate art forms. For one to take personal thoughts and transform it into an essay in which thoughts flow like a rolling river is an amazing process to witness. Some need a little push to get that creativity flowing. Some have problems getting thoughts from their head onto paper. I have a very strict style that allows all my students to find their calling! For a student to watch a rough draft transform into a beautifully written piece through hard work and dedication on their part with my guidance is an amazing process in which I can't wait to be a part of.
I started acting at the age of 7. I remember being on stage for the first time. The feeling was like no other. You get to completely get into the head of another character. You get to transform your entire being to trick an entire audience into believing you! It's the ultimate art of magic if you think about it! It takes hard work, dedication, and belief!!!! And once you commit yourself to the art form, it is indeed pure magic!!!!! I honestly feel everyone should experience this at least once in their life!
I can't wait to help your child reach his/her potential in whatever field they are struggling! Hello! I have six years in the education field. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
