Sam helped me to better prepare for my EOC in geometry. He was very knowledgeable and patient. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will also be looking forward to receiving more help in the future.

Sam has been very easy to work with as far as scheduling tutoring sessions. He has been very patient with my son and has done a great job finding alternative ways for him to look at the problems and solve them. First quiz since tutoring has been an A so we are looking forward to further success.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. I have not yet beaten it but I can hold my own against it. I also have teaching and tutoring experience. I could explain the game of chess to anyone, whether adult or child.

Taught geometry at Englewood High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Students showed unusually high learning gains on their FCAT exams at the end of the year.

Earned an 800 (perfect score) on the GRE quantitative examination in 2006. Test is mostly on Geometry.

I earned a perfect score (800) on the GRE quantitative examination. I also scored a 550 on the verbal. I took the exam in December of 2006. I have many years of experience teaching (4) and tutoring (4) privately. I have tutored at least five students in preparation for the SAT and the GRE.

I taught algebra in a community college for more than three years before moving to Georgia. I have also tutored this subject more times than I can even remember at this point. However, the last two times I taught a section of Elementary Algebra, I got some of the highest passing rates of anybody in my college. When my students took their standardized tests, they outperformed the competition and I got a letter of recommendation from my dean.

In 2006, I took the GRE and scored a PERFECT 800 on the Quant section. The GRE, incidentally, is just like the SAT except it is harder, because it is for adults. The SAT is given to high school students to get into college. The GRE is given to college students (usually seniors) to get into graduate programs.

After earning my 800 on the GRE quant, I was offered a job teaching a class for the "community education" department at Santa Fe College where I taught adults how to score highly on the GRE quant. I ended up teaching it twice.

In the summer of 2011, I tutored a high school student specifically to prepare for the SAT quantitative exam. Her mother wrote a letter of recommendation on my behalf. Since then I have tutored 5 or more high-school students in preparation for the SAT.

In short, I know how to answer EVERY question the SAT can throw your way. And with my experience, I can teach you how to conquer it, too. I also have several years of experience working as a professional tutor and teacher of math with recommendation letters, have taken pure math courses beyond calc III, and have 24 college hours of stats courses.

I have been a good swimmer virtually all my life. I cannot remember a time when I did not know how to swim or enjoy it. I am currently a member of "Rainbow Trout" which is a competitive water polo team in Atlanta. Also, in 2007 I was certified by the Red Cross as a lifeguard, although I never worked as one. I once earned CPR certification, too. I also have years of teaching experience, albeit in a classroom. I further have about 3 years of experience as a professional tutor.

I know, essentially, everything there is to know about trigonometry. I tutored a high-school senior in trigonometry last year (2012-13). She is now a student at GGC. I have read the book "Trigonometry for Dummies" cover to cover and personally discovered a mistake in it. I have used trigonometry in subsequent mathematics courses, particularly Calculus III and Differential Equations.
