As a certified Physics and General Science teacher and proud UGA graduate, I bring nearly a decade of experience in tutoring Mathematics, Science, and Test Preparation. I approach each student as a unique individual with their own perspective and learning preferences. My primary aim is to empower my students to develop their own understanding of the subject matter rather than simply providing solutions. In addition to teaching the core concepts, I emphasize note-taking and study skills to foster self-sufficiency in my students.

My journey in tutoring began in high school, where I assisted struggling students through the academic intervention program and provided informal peer tutoring to my classmates. Since college, I have continued to refine my skills professionally, tutoring for platforms like Wyzant and receiving positive feedback from students. I also have experience working with students with specific learning needs, including ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders.

Moreover, my background in the tech industry over the past five years has equipped me with valuable experience in online instruction and creating engaging eLearning content. This expertise allows me to leverage technology effectively to enhance the learning experience for my students.

I have tutored many students in all levels of high school and college Physics, with great success. I was a Physics Education major at UGA, and completed coursework equivalent to a minor in Physics. I am certified to teach Honors and CP Physics in the state of Georgia. I also took AP Physics B in high school, and received a score of 5 on that exam. I understand the types of problems which appear on the new AP Physics exams, and how they are graded.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have tutored many students in both high school and college Precalculus, with great success. I myself took high school Gifted Precalculus in tenth grade, as a student in the first group of Accelerated math students in Gwinnett County. I also took Calculus BC, 2, and 3, and Differential Equations, so I know how the topics in this subject will be applied in more advanced math courses.
PSAT

PSAT

I am a National Merit Commended Student, which means that I was one of the best in the country when I took the PSAT. I of course also tutor the SAT, and made a near-perfect score on that test, so I am more than qualified to tutor this test as well. I have ample knowledge of math, reading, and test-taking strategies, which has helped to greatly improve the scores of my students in the past.
