Kennesaw State University (Computer Science)
I'm a Math and Calculus tutor at Kennesaw State University. I have enjoyed working with students and helping them improving their grades. if needed, I take the time to explain and teach the fundamentals so the student can fully understand the concepts before further advance their math skills. For Military candidates, I tutor ASVAB. For Computer Science and programming classes, I tutor Java and C languages, and for all other students, I tutor Math, High-School Algebra and Trigonometry, Calculus I, and many other Math-related subjects. For computer science and programming students, I offer one-to-one as well as online sessions.
I graduated as a Business major few years ago and I'm working on my second degree (Computer Science) at Kennesaw State University. I'm on working on some of the last classes and my senior project, which involve cloud based servers.
One weekend a month (plus three full weeks per year), I serve as a Second Lieutenant for the Georgia U.S. Army National Guard, Chemical Corps. I can assist military candidates on how to score very well on their ASVAB test, which is the most important aspect in order to access a variety of military jobs, and be able to choose from it. Military candidates must score at least 110 to become an officer and Math preparation is very important.
I am able to teach and explain in both English and Portuguese language in a very natural way, very easy-to-understand manner.
I truly enjoy helping students from all ages to learn and achieve in their goals. I believe that my work with students is excellent and you will enjoy. I look forward to meeting you (and/or your student) and achieving the objectives of high grades! I'm a Math and Calculus tutor at Kennesaw State University. Depending on the distance and time of the day, it may be necessary to charge more. Alternatively, I offer sessions that are longer than 1 hour, at a discounted rate.
Eduardo was excellent in assessing my son's shortcomings in math and delve straight to it which is something I really appreciated. I highly recommend Eduardo to anyone who's struggling with particular subject in math.
Eduardo was prompt, polite, and genuinely likable. Unfortunately, we are looking for European Portuguese and he teaches Brazilian.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Photoshop is a fun software and used properly can definitely make your pictures look outstanding! I have been using Photoshop for the past 10 years and I really enjoy it.
All algebra courses are my favorite subject to teach and tutor. I like to explain the student the many different ways a topic or a problem can be understood so the student can choose which one is best for him/her. I want to show examples so the student can fully understand each concept.
Algebra 2 can be an advance course for students that have difficulty in Math, since it involves logarithmic equations and some other advance concepts. Depending on the level of understanding, I can either explain just the topic the student has trouble understanding or I can go back and explain the student the entire concept. This could take some time but will help the student a lot on the long run.
I have scored 120 out of 130 maximum points on my last ASVAB test.
I have learned C# and other object oriented languages at Kennesaw State University and I enjoy creating programs to calculate variables and to resolve mathematical problems. I also enjoy creating small animations.
Calculus is an advanced Math subject which I enjoy tutoring. I did well on my Calculus classes and I currently tutor Calculus I at Kennesaw State University.
I'm a senior Computer Science student at Kennesaw State University and I have already taken all programming classes. I have created some applications for Android and some mathematical oriented applications for Windows (using C#). Java is the language in which I'm most experienced. I have an excellent understanding of object oriented programming language and I enjoy helping other students understand the concepts and produce their first programs.
Elementary Math is fun! Elementary Math is the foundation, the back bone of a good mathematical understanding that is so needed later on. I like to explain the student the many different ways a topic or a problem can be understood so the student can choose which one is best for him/her. On a topic that the student is having trouble understanding, I want to show as many examples as possibles so the student can fully understand each concept and be able to calculate the correct response on their own.
Elementary Science is very fun! As a science student and as a private pilot, I have a great background of science to teach and demonstrate to your student.
I have studied English for 10 years in traditional schools before moving to the U.S. and I have done very well on all English classes taught in a U.S. college. I have lived in the U.S. for over 10 years and have mastered the English language very well. I speak three languages and I understand the difficulties of learning a new language. I'm available to teach English for those who would like to improve their English skills along with supplementary cross-cultural educational programs that enhance communication. I will take the time to explain the basics of English, verbally and written, why we speak the way we do, the correct grammar and common mistakes we do while learning a new language.
When studying a Geometry concept, I will show correct and incorrect examples, and in different ways or representations, like rotating the pictures upside down. I will also ask students to draw correct and incorrect examples, and to draw parallel lines and lines that are not parallel. We will then study calculations of area, perimeter and volume, as well as other more advanced geometry concepts.
Java is my favorite object oriented language! I enjoy working out problems with logarithm and figuring out code for exercises. I have created few Android applications as well.
I have been using Microsoft Excel for the past 15 years or so and have kept up with the last versions and updates. I know how to input formulas, draw graphics, create mail merge applications, and many other features.
I have been using Microsoft Outlook for the past 10 years or so and have kept up with the last versions and updates. I know how to set up emails, alerts, rules for auto-archiving emails, how to send personalized blast emails, manage contacts, and more.
I have been using Microsoft Windows since the 3.1 version, and have kept up with the all the last versions and updates. I'm now testing the Windows 8.
I use Microsoft Word on a daily basis at work and at home and I have a great understanding of its features and capabilities. I can show your student how to use its tools to create amazing word documents and impress any one with a great presentation of their work.
I own couple digital (and film) SLR cameras and I have been taking photography for around 15 years. I enjoying family portraits and nature. I use Photoshop for minor edition of the pictures as I try to retain the picture in its most natural state. Some of my work can be provided if requested.
I'm a native speaker of Portuguese Language.
Pre-algebra is one of my favorites subject to teach and tutor. I like to explain the student the many different ways a topic or a problem can be understood so the student can choose which one is best for him/her. I want to show examples on how to work out each problem so the student can fully understand each concept.
The precalculus course is one of my favorite subjects of math to teach and tutor. I like to explain the student the many different ways a topic or a problem can be understood so the student can choose which one is best for him/her. A solid precalculus understanding is fundamental for advanced courses.
