I am an accomplished Mathematics Instructor at the secondary level with the extraordinary capacity to reach students of all ability levels. I am dedicated to ensuring each student has the opportunity to receive a quality Mathematical foundation. I have an extensive background of providing formal and informal leadership within my school environment. I am an effective communicator that is highly organized that have led professional learning meetings or team building activities in the past. I really shouldn't pat myself on the back, but I'm pretty darn good at what I do!

In regards to tutoring, I enjoy working with students on an individual basis because it is great to see students overcome a concept that may have been difficult for them to understand previously. I have been teaching Mathematics for a total of 19 years, 5 at the middle school level and 14 at the high school level. My true passion is teaching Statistics and Algebraic concepts, although I have taught many courses from middle school Math, Algebra 1, Euclidean Geometry, Elementary Statistics, Algebra 2, and SAT Prep over the years. I currently teach AP Statistics, PreCalculus, and SAT Prep at a high school in Clayton County.

I am truly an elite teacher because I am able to relate and break down mathematical concepts to almost any student that has the zeal to learn. It is my passion and philosophy to increase the mathematical ability of any student that is truly willing to put in the work. Mathematics, like many things in life, must be practiced properly to truly achieve competency. If you're willing to work, I'm certain that you can learn Mathematics.

Statistics

Statistics

I have been teaching AP Statistics for the past 6 years, which is equivalent to the Elementary Statistics College course. Prior to that, I have taught Elementary Statistics for 6 years. I truly love teaching Statistics at any level because it is a mathematical discipline that can be easily applied to real-world situations.

Elementary Education

Elementary Math

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

Algebraic concepts come naturally to me because I truly understand the usefulness of Algebra 1. As a high school teacher with 19 years experience, I've assisted several of my former and current students with Algebraic concepts that are introduced in the Algebra 1 course. This course is an important indicator to future academic success in higher level Mathematics courses, so quality tutoring is a must!
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is a gateway math because it is the foundation to higher order mathematical skills.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

I have been teaching some form of Algebra my entire 19-year teaching career whether in middle school Math, such as PreAlgebra, or to the high school students that I currently serve. PreAlgebra is an important foundational piece to a student's future success in upper-level high school Mathematics courses, as these academic skills will facilitate a students ability to learn more complex concepts in the future. Choosing a high-quality tutor, such as myself, is of upmost importance!
Precalculus,

Precalculus

I have been teaching PreCalculus concepts to 12th grade students or advanced 11th grade students for 11 years now. I like PreCalculus because it encompasses many disciplines such as Algebra, Trigonometry, and even some Statistics. I like teaching PreCalculus because it is truly a college-bound course that reaches back to utilize foundational knowledge from lower-level mathematical courses in simple, intermediate, and sometimes complex ways.
SAT Math,

SAT Math

As a 12th-grade Mathematics teacher with 19 years of experience, I have often tutored students about mathematical concepts that they had difficulty with on the SAT. I currently teach the SAT Prep course at my high school, which has provided me additional insight into methodologies that are necessary to excel on the New SAT format.

As a 12th grade teacher, I have often tutored students about mathematical concepts that they had difficulty with on the ACT. It is my goal to help each of my students achieve their full potential and to ensure that Math doesn't become a road block to achieving their lifelong goals. Nothing provides me greater satisfaction than helping a student improve their standardized test scores.

There's no one better

Dr. K has been helping my now twelve year old son for a couple of years, and I don't know what we would have done without him. My son went from being a lost and struggling math student to a kid who always gets As. Dr. K is patient, kind, and crazy smart, and the difference he makes in my son's life is immeasurable.

Fantastic Tutor, Patient

Dr. Kenneth took the time to help me with probability this week. He didn’t rush me and made sure I understood each concept confidently. I’ll definitely be booking another session with Dr.Kenneth!

Great Statistics Tutor

This is second year we have used Wyzant and was happy we found Dr. Kenneth for Stats. He is patient and took the time to understand my daughters learning style. He took time to get background on what she has learned in Stats and currently learning, as well as reviewing sections of previous quiz/test that she did not do well on. Her grade improved just from one session and she already has a second session scheduled.

Very patient.

I was uncertain as to where to begin. Dr Kenneth suggested that we start with what my son is currently studying in class. He patiently assessed my son’s weaknesses as he solved problems and helped him to recognize recurrent mistakes. He encouraged him and gave him suggestions on what to work on in prep for the next session. He recommend ways that my son could be better prepared for the next session to build on what they worked on. Most importantly, my son felt good about the session and was not overwhelmed.
