Supported by a Masters degree in Adult Education from the University of Georgia, adult students are my specialty.
For the past seven years, I've taught English to business professionals at all levels of English ability and business responsibility. These courses included presentation skills, email and report writing, teleconference communication skills as well as general business vocabulary, grammar and cultural relations.
Prior to that, I taught academic and immigrant English for 5 years. During this time, I taught courses in grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening and reading in intensive English programs. Also, I tutored students who were working toward their U.S. citizenship test. In addition, I designed and taught ESL courses in the continuing education department at Clayton State University and in the short-term summer program at Georgia Tech.
I would love to work with Atlanta area residents who are seeking to improve their English skills for whatever reason.
Oh, by the way, I recently studied Chinese so I really do understand the difficulties of learning and using another language. I'd count it a privilege to help you accomplish your goals of learning English.
