Hello, my name is Laureen G. and I am a resident here in Peach County and have been all of my life. Working in the school system has always been a dream of mine, and it finally came true for me back in 1999 as a substitute teacher. Later I became an internal employee with the Even Start Family Literacy Program. Working with the children of this program gave me such pleasure. Now I am a certified substitute teacher with the peach county board of education. Going to the high school on occasions is the highlight of my week. I love working with kids and teenagers it is my one desire to be an employee within the school system any school system.
You will not regret giving me a chance and opportunity to show who I am as an educator. I graduated from the Fort Valley Adult Literacy Program in October 1994 and received my GED. I returned to school as a student at Fort Valley State University in 2007-2009. Then I enrolled within the Colorado Technical University where I earned my Associates Degree in General studies. Right now I am an active substitute teacher within the Peach County School system. I am a mother of four and grandmother of nine. To be honest they are all my gifts from God and the reason why I have chosen to be an educator in one way or another.
I am a constant reader. I read every day it has always been a passion. I cannot walk by or ride by anything without reading what it is trying to find out what it is all about. I guess you can just call me curious. I am a certified substitute teacher. I am also a certified paraprofessional. I've worked with children for last fifteen years of my life and it has been a joy.
I gather that you all have read a lot of profiles. What makes mine special is that I have children probably within your age range and I believe that my qualifications will allow me to do the job that needs to be done help you bring up your grades and get you to where you need to be. Most of all I like helping kids get to the next level in life especially if it is a positive move.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
