Richard works with our 10 year old son on 5th grade math concepts. Richard has an extraordinary teaching style and our son is loving it!
Thanks Richard! I am so thrilled that my son is doing so well. Maybe getting a grip on math and feeling like he "can do it" will help him overall with his life!
Richard was very thorough and kind. He went over all the things I needed help with in order to pass my GED exams. Would definitely recommend!
Richard really helped my son with his algebra!! He was struggling and Richard came and helped him learn how to do it and helped him improve his grades!! Highly recommend
Richard is very patient with my boys and is very good at explaining algebra to them in a way that they really understand it. Thank you Richard!!!
He taught me how to find slope intercept form and switch it to standard form. He also taught me how to add details to my sentences and make them more "meaty". My family and I are comfortable with his style and personality. I look forward to more sessions with him to help me get to the level I ought to be.
Thanks Richard for a great first session (Algebra 1). My daughter was actually smiling on the way home from the lesson. Thank you for the initial confidence boost.
He does have a good knowledge of the concepts and was able to present nifty and easy to understand tools and concepts that was transforming his (my son) essay presentation right before my eyes. This was my sons first lesson so we hope this will be a sign of things to come.
Richard B. helped my daughter get over her fear of math and made her realize that she knew more than she even thought she knew.
Mr. Richard is a very good teacher, very helpful, very patient and also very brilliant... He has lots of wisdom.
I liked the fact that Richard took the time to review with me what he covered with my daughter. He was very honest with me about her competence. I also learnt a thing or two from Richard...yay! win.....win.
Having Richard come weekly has really helped with our son's reading and comprehension - we will continue to work and strengthen in this area using Richard as our tutor!
Richard is very patient and involved. He encourages my son to do the work and walks him through all of the steps. He checks for understanding.
Was very helpful and did great job on lesson. He was very good to work on what she was needing help on and going over stuff she is studying in class.
Richard is very professional and patient. My son does not sit still very long in a chair without getting weary, so it is hard to keep his attention. But, Richard does get him involved in the problems so he is not just listening. My son is also the type that you have to impound lessons and repeat so it stays fresh in his mind. Richard is patient enough to keep going over the same lessons until he truly absorbs it. I would like to see him give Jaden some small writing lessons, so he can get a complete idea of how to improve his writing skills. Writing is a challenge to tutor in.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
