I have been a teacher my entire life! Whether it was teaching my siblings how to play an instrument or teaching a 5th grader about the Holocaust, I have enjoyed enriching others' lives by sharing with them the joy of learning.
In 2010 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and ESOL. I immediately began working with one of Georgia's top Charter schools as a 5th grade teacher. After my first year of teaching, I returned to school and as a Summa Cum Laude graduate, I received a Mater's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Literacy from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am also certified to teach students with special needs in K-12. I continued to teach in an inclusion classrooms as the general education teacher for the next 4 years.
I tutored many of my students free of charge during after school hours so that they could be comfortable and confident with the various skills, concepts and content they learned each day.
Math is an absolutely amazing piece of work. To know that every person can have a different strategy to come up with the same answer is unbelievable. I absolutely love helping children find strategies that they work for them.
I love reading, writing and speaking and have a knack for helping children understand all of the components that come with each area.
I have experience teaching Common Core standards and preparing students to demonstrate mastery of necessary skills and concepts.
After teaching and tutoring for so many years, I developed my craft and learned how to develop skills and strategies that permeate and form into meaningful memories for all children.
Teaching is truly my passion in life and I can't wait to share with your child the joy of learning. I welcome ALL students and I look forward to building a relationship with you and your child so that they can reach their full potential! I have been a teacher my entire life! Whether it was teaching my siblings how to play an instrument or teaching a 5th grader about the Holocaust, I have enjoyed enriching others' lives by sharing with them the joy of learning.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
