She helped out with her writing and math skills. She feels that she is improving! Thank you Mrs. Lynda J!
I was referred to Lynda to help with my 1st grade daughter who wasn't performing on grade level. I was concerned that my daughter may have had a certain learning disability. I was immediately impressed with Lynda's pleasant personality and her interest in getting to know my daughter. I was ill so Lynda agreed to tutor at my home. She was always on time. After I felt better she continued to tutor at my home and I thought that was great. She brought her own learning materials as well as helped with homework. She communicated with me after every session to inform me of concerns or victories. What I loved is that my daughter's grades improved to all A's within one semester. I have been able to use some of what Lynda taught me with my daughter. I definitely recommend her to anyone needing extra help with their child.
Linda J was very helpful. She came early and was of a great help in regards my writings. She is friendly, organized, and prepared.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My favorite subject in high school and college, classic literature provides the foundation of creative writing and compelling storytelling. Literature is more than Trivia about Book & Author. It reflects periods of history (real or imagined), explores the human condition, and expresses hidden meanings and controversial messages. Tutoring with me in Literature involves practicing skills that will improve reading, critical thinking, and writing at a minimum.

Well written words mean better communication, fulfilling expression, and (in the cases of essay competitions or grant writing) monetary compensation. Excellent writing is a combination of great storytelling AND proper sentence construction! I can assist you with finding your "voice" while improving the technical writing skills needed for flow and clarity.
